Community Newsletter: First Fridays

Bluegrass Music is on the menu when The Denver Siekman Environmental Presents music at Heritage Hall for Rising Sun's First Friday celebration on March 5th. Two local bands will take the stage at Heritage Hall. Rural Route 2 has been around the Bear Branch area since the late 1980's, always presenting a great show. The newest band in the area is Mt. Pleasant String Band from Aurora whose blend of originals, traditionals, and some fusion grass is creating a big buzz in the bluegrass biz.

A Chili Supper with Homemade Dessertswill be served. Admittance is free but a freewill donation will be at the door. All proceeds will go toward the Denver Siekman Environmental Park Education Fund. Denver Siekman Environmental Park is an Environmental Education Center, presenting programs for adults and school-aged children from around the area.
