Member Benefits

By joining the Historic Downtown Program, local business receive many benefits.

• Members are provided access to copy and fax machines, meeting space, adminstrative supports, and a resource library.


• Training through the Small Business Administrative satellite office in Rising Sun, including workshops, resources, and business counseling.


• Micro loans up to $7,500 at 3.5% and revolving loans up to $120,000 at 3.5%. The Rebuild America Program provides low interest loans for energy efficiency improvements, as well.


• 50% of signage costs are reimburses up to $1000.


• The Historic Downtown Progam works closesly with the Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism Bureau to market downtown events, such as the 'First Friday' Weekends, Rising Sun Rodeo, and the Navy Bean Festival. Advertising for these events are placed in local, regional, and national media drawing visitors to events and bringing new business to Rising Sun.
